When selecting roof waterproofing membranes, coatings, and joint sealing materials, the relevant content of Chapter 5, Chapter 6, and Chapter 8 of this specification should be selected according to the design points;
According to the nature of the building and the function of the roof, waterproof materials should be selected. In addition to complying with this specification, the following requirements should also be met: for non accessible roofs that are exposed for use, waterproof materials with strong adhesion to the base layer, UV resistance, thermal aging retention rate, acid rain resistance, and excellent puncture resistance should be selected. For the roof with access, waterproof materials with good puncture resistance, mold resistance, and high tensile strength should be selected. Waterproof materials with excellent corrosion resistance, mold resistance, and puncture resistance should be selected for water storage roofs and planting roofs. For large-span building roofs such as thin shells, prefabricated structures, and steel structures, waterproof materials with light weight, heat resistance, and excellent adaptability to deformation should be selected. Inverted roofs should use waterproof materials with excellent adaptability to deformation and high joint sealing guarantee rate. For sloping roofs, waterproof materials with strong adhesion to the base layer and low temperature sensitivity should be selected. The sealing and waterproofing of roof joints should use sealing materials with strong adhesion to the base layer, excellent low-temperature resistance, and certain adaptability to displacement.
